Thank you so much to Cillian's nana Therese who took the time to visit our class today. We performed a song and a dance for her and then we asked her lots of questions about what life was like when she was growing up. We learnt a lot and really enjoyed it.

We have lots of fun planned for Heritage Week 2017 - Mini-Museum; Guess the baby; Historical Maps of Ireland display; Dinosaur Day; Older Persons Day; and Artefact Show-&-Tell! Don’t forget, we would love family involvement on Older Persons Day (Wednesday 25th January at 9.00am) and Artefact Show-&-Tell Day (Thursday 26th January 12.30). Please let me know if you would like to contribute to either of these events.
Naomi from the HSE came to school today to deliver our certificates for successfully completing the Mighty Mouth Dental Programme. We now know all the ways we can keep our teeth healthy.
A huge well done to all the Sycamore class who performed so well today at our Winter Show. More photos and videos to follow....
We've had a very busy week in Sycamore Class. Not only did we do lots of English, Irish and Maths, we also made musical instruments, played in our Restaurant and learnt about equality and Martin Luther King. Martin Luther King gave a famous speech about his dreams, so we came up with our own dreams for a better world. We also started the Food Dudes programme- this week EVERY single person tried bananas, apples, mandarines, grapes, peppers, carrots, cucumber and sugar snap peas. Well done everybody! Have a lovely weekend! |
